Talk about a versatile dress!
Hollywood beauties Jenny McCarthy,
41, and Shailene Woodley, 22, wore the same blue number on the red carpet in
two very different ways. Former View host McCarthy brought the glamour
in it as she attended the 2014 Creative Arts Emmy Awards in L.A. on Saturday.
Back on March 30, Woodley wore the dress at the London premiere of her movie Divergent.
What they wore: Stella McCartney's elegant, draping "Betta" gown
with a plunging neckline and an open back, currently selling online for $4,000.
How they styled it:
For McCarthy, the dress was an opportunity to go all out with Old Hollywood
glitz and glam. The future Mrs. Donnie Wahlberg wore her hair in curls over one
shoulder and accessorized with a crystal-embellished handbag, a silver cuff
bracelet, and oversized earrings. Woodley kept it simple, adding a snake bangle
by Lina Noel and a small gold necklace, with a no muss-no fuss 'do.
Judge's scorecard:
McCarthy's closer fit works well with her swankier take on the dress. (Although,
her positioning of the straps makes the dress fit awkwardly under the arms.)
Her hair is lovely. However, Woodley's minimalist version of the look made for
a real fashion moment. It's more modern and chic... more like a winner.
